My Approach

First and foremost, my aim as a psychological therapist entails the provision of a safe confidential environment where you will feel able to share your concerns and talk about what is troubling you. Then we can together plan a way forward for our work together.

My therapeutic stance is Integrative which means that I work across different therapeutic modalities depending on the issues brought to therapy. My training embraces both psychological (scientific) and therapeutic (humanistic) perspectives in working with emotional distress. Then, depending on the presenting problem, various therapeutic approaches may be integrated.

While a Person or Client-Centred approach always provides a base for treatments Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) techniques can be introduced to address the role of dysfunctional thought patterns on emotional life, effect behavioural change and eventually encourage you to become your own therapist, if you so wish. My practise is greatly influenced with by the 3rd wave of CBT which includes Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Mindfulness.

I  also offer:

Single Session Integrated CBT which is a one off session for crisis management.
